Changes to Prismic’s Pricing in 2024

Starting in 2013, we led innovation in the CMS industry with the introduction of headless CMS. We have since honed our product to excel at website creation. We optimized the developers’ journey with the release of Slice Machine in 2020, and this year we dramatically simplified the marketer experience by rolling out our visual Page Builder, which you can experience here.

The recent developments in the website industry are opening more opportunities for standing out with your websites. Our product should help you seize them and thrive in 2024.

For that, our team has already accelerated the delivery of new features, but this vision requires us to adjust our pricing for the first time in seven years. Visit our pricing page to view the detailed updates.

These changes, effective January 8th, 2024, represent a pivotal moment in our journey together. I want to explain why we’re making them and what they mean for you.

An investment to fuel bigger change

We are introducing usage limits on Free, Starter, Small, Medium, and Platinum plans, along with updates to their pricing. This wasn’t an easy decision. Keeping our prices steady for seven years across product releases was a point of pride. These adjustments, made after taking feedback from users, still position Prismic as the most competitive solution in the headless CMS space.
Our journey over the past seven years, illustrated here, is a testament to how far we’ve come in years and the value we’ve continuously delivered. These pricing changes are necessary to sustain our innovation and growth, ensuring that we provide you with the necessary tools to thrive in the highly competitive, fast-changing website industry.

A moment of opportunities in the website space

In 2023, the website industry has reached a turning point with the emergence of GenAI tools for content creation and code generation.

Our focus for 2024 is on enhancing your productivity, integrating GenAI tools for better efficiency, and embedding best practices into our product to bring expert knowledge and best practices for building websites directly into your workflows.

Our vision is to offer a product that does more than allow you to update your website content. We want to help you grow your website’s value, get more traffic, increase engagement, and boost conversions.

The near future: Empowering developers and marketers

It’s important to talk about the vision for 2024, but everyone needs to make a difference now, so here’s a list of concrete changes to support you in early 2024.

For developers, upcoming features include a personal sandbox for safer iterations, navigation types, and support for complex pages with more nesting in Slice Machine.

Marketers can anticipate a set of new AI-powered features to assist with content creation, like the recent prompt-to-slice feature. We’re also expanding the visual Page Builder with a revamped media library, improved search functionality, and team spaces.

These upcoming updates should land in the next three months and reaffirm our commitment to leading the industry to provide tools that directly impact your success.
